Squash Violin Butternut


The violin heirloom butternut of Italy, named for its profile. Fine flesh is neither watery or overly dry, quite delicious. The wrinkled and ribbed fruits are about 4 lbs on the average. Great for the market grower or home gardener. Seeds/ package 10-15 Untreated

Sowing instructions: Plant seeds 0.5 inches deep indoors from February-April. Transplant seedlings outdoors from May-June spacing them 24-36 inches apart in rows spaced 36 inches apart. Harvest from August-September.
