Description:

Cicoria Selvatica Wild Dandelion-Chicory heirloom vegetable. Produces very rare and unusual medium sized small upright growing Green leafy chicory, that’s full of bite and flavour! Produces tender upright growing dark green leaves to 30 cm (12″) long. A must have for any traditional Italian salads. Harvest as baby greens in as quick as 24 days after sprouting or harvest later into the season. Taste is improved by a light frost.

Sowing Instructions :

Sow once soil can be worked in the Spring, sow seed about 3mm (1/8″) deep in rows 45cm (18″) apart. An even supply of moisture during the entire growth period is imperative for success. Harvest by cutting leaves from the main stem at least 2.5cm (1″) above the base. Avoid cutting into the crown where the root begins as new sprouts will often emerge from this area extending the harvest.
