Rampion - Raperonzolo


Very old German heirloom looks much like a radish and is used much the same. The tops may also be used as a green. It was widely cultivated in the 17th century in central Europe. Rampion has a very tasty root and top green with a colourful history.

Sowing instructions: Plant seeds 0.5 inches deep starting from April-May. Sow in rows 6-8 inches apart. Thin seedlings to 1.5 inches spacing when they reach 2 inches in height. Harvest from September-October. Prefers cooler climates.
