Dill seeds produce a plant that should be a part of any herb garden. Sow seeds outdoors in late May, then every two weeks through to the end of June. Dill is a low maintenance plant & prolific grower. All you really need to do is provide water when necessary. Lightly feed with a general all purpose fertilizer as too much can adversely affect the production of the essential oils responsible for flavour and aroma. Dill is grown for its leaves and seeds.

Ancient variety, Sage seeds produce a fragrant slightly bitter herb plant used extensively for flavouring meats, soups, and cheese dishes. Sage seeds grow Greyish coloured leaves that are used either fresh or dried. Flowers shade from Blue to Purple in colour. Plants can grow to 60 cm (2′) tall and can spread out at least as wide. Mature plants often become woody so prune out some of the older wood to stimulate new, tastier growth.

Rosemary seeds grow into a coarse upright bushy plant with pale blue flowers. An incredibly pleasing fragrance is released when the leaves are handled. There is no doubt that Rosemary is an important (almost compulsory) component of most Chicken, Lamb and Pork dishes. Plants can grow from 60-90 cm (2-3′) tall. In most locations in Canada, it is recommended to bring Rosemary inside to overwinter as temperatures below 8°C (46°F) for more than a day will damage foliage.
Rosemary is a tender perennial hardy to Zone 7 with adequate Winter protection. However, a single night with the temperature below -15°C (5°F) is usually fatal.
